Congrats to 2014 Orange
The 2014 Orange team were finalists at the 7 v 7 February Indoor Festival at USTC.
Chester County High School Girls in Vail National
The Pa Express Girls lacrosse Association fielded a mixed team (2011, 2012 & 2013 team members) for
the Annual Shoot out in Vail. The Express won their pool with a decisive victory over favored Connecticut 15-6. The
Express went on the upset Team Colorado 10-7 and Midwestern Storm 11-10 in sudden death. Overall the Express finished at
5-1 in the Gold (highest) Division.

Allie Murray of Downingtown East named USA-19 Training Team
Downingtown East goalie Allie Murray
has been selected for the US U19 national team following a
3 day tryout at University of Maryland. Allie, who will
be a senior at Downingtown East, led the Cougars to a
fifth place finish in the District 1 championship and
the quarter finals of the PA Interscholastic Athletic
Association Tournament.

2014 at All Star Express
The Pa Express Girls Lacrosse association 2014 Team Orange competed in the All Star Express finishing
in third place. Wins over Metro 2014 Blue, CC Lax Black 2014 and Synergy (Massachusetts) highlighted the tourney which
also featured an 11-6 loss to undefeated Long Island Yellow Jackets 2014 Blue. Players on the team represent
Kennett, Villa Maria, WC East, WC Rustin, Unionville, D'town East, D'town West and Episcopal Academy.

Allie Murray Commits to Notre Dame

Murray was a second-team Ches-Mont League pick this year for the Cougars, helping them place third in the league and
advance to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championships as the fifth-place team from District 1.
Murray was a member of the Philly team at the Under Armour Underclassmen Games earlier this month and plays club lacrosse
for PA Express.
Murray becomes the fourth Downingtown East rising senior to commit to a Division I school. The others are midfielder
Kelly Devlin (North Carolina), attack Emily Solenberger (Lehigh) and goalie/attack Marya Fratoni (Navy).
Bishop Shanahan’s Casey Briglia has committed to Duquesne

Briglia was a key member of a Shanahan team that was named the Most Improved squad in the Pennsylvania Area Schoolgirls
Lacrosse Association (PASLA). She plays for the PA Express club team.
2012 Victorious at All American

The PA Express 2012 girl’s lacrosse team played in the All American Showcase and won
their bracket, outscoring opponents 79-19 and with one shutout. They won against Maryland-based TLC 11-5 in the
semifinals, setting themselves up for the championship match against MD United. Down by 3 goals at half-time, PA
Express came back to win the game 8-6.

Downingtown East junior midfielder Solenberger Makes Verbal Commitment to Lehigh

Downingtown East junior midfielder/attack Emily Solenberger has made a verbal commitment to play Division
I lacrosse at Lehigh University. Solenberger, a second-team All Ches-Mont League selection last year, scored 43 goals and
helped the Cougars go 8-3 in league play and 12-8 overall. Solenberger also plays for the PA Express 2011 team.

"I ultimately decided on Lehigh because of the outstanding academics," Solenberger said. "For me, that was the
most important factor. Lehigh really stood out because I loved the coaches and players, and the team seemed to mesh really
well on and off the field. I thought it was a great fit for me." Solenberger, who also considered Franklin & Marshall,
Villanova, William & Mary and Brown, said she plans to major in Biology.

PA Express 2014-Blue
This past winter, the 2014-Blue team not only went undefeated during the regular season,
but won the championship game as well at the 422 Sportsplex indoor league.
PA Express 2011 finishes strong summer season with fifth-place
showing at National Club Championships
The PA Express 2011 girls' club team enjoyed a strong 2009 summer season, capping it with a fifth-place finish in
the Club National Championships (for rising juniors) July 17-19 at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds. PA Express,
comprised mostly of players from Chester County, won all four pool play games at the National Championships and
finished 6-2 overall in the 72-team field. Read the rest of the article at

PA Express 2014 Wins BATTLE AT PRINCETON Tournament

Pa Express 2014 with middle school players from Kennet, Unionville, West Chester, Lionville,
Downingtown and Villa Maria swept the first ever Battle At Princeton for first place in the Middle School
Division. The Express outscored their opponents 48-12 behind strong defense and the goaltending of Abby
Lawson and McKenna Coyle.

 At the Senior B Champion's Cup, 2012-Orange outscored their opponents 39-4.
The team was 2-0 before USTC canceled the remain games due to rain.

Greer, O’Donnell to be inducted for
National Lacrosse Hall of Fame
Jen O’Donnell is a coach of the 2012 PA Express Orange team.

Former Harriton great Cheri Greer Brown and nationally-recognized Philadelphia
women’s umpire Jennifer Miller O’Donnell have been selected to be inducted in
the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
The two, along with six others, will be formally inducted in a ceremony on
Nov. 7 at The Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley, Md.
O’Donnell, a West Chester resident and graduate of Upper Perkiomen, has spent
the last 15 years umpiring at the international level (1994-present). O’Donnell
has been umpiring women's lacrosse for 25 years in the Philadelphia Chapter and
is recognized as one of the most respected umpires in the nation.
An All-American scholastic player at Upper Perk, she graduated from West Chester
and has been rated to umpire in International games for 14 years. She has worked
18 Division I Final Four tournaments and 10 championship games.
On the international front, she officiated in the U-19 World Championship held
in Perth, Australia in 1999. Two times to date Jen has officiated in the Women’s
World Cup Championship held in 2001, in High Wycombe, England, and in 2005, in
Annapolis, Md. She still coaches field hockey at Bayard Rustin.
O’Donnell was inducted into the US Lacrosse Philadelphia/Eastern Pennsylvania
Chapter Lacrosse Hall of Fame (2009).
The National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, sponsored by US Lacrosse, was established in
1957 to honor men and women, past and present, who by their deeds as players,
coaches, officials and/or contributors, and by the example of their lives, personify
the great contribution of lacrosse to our way of life. More than 325 lacrosse greats
are honored in the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, which is located with the
Lacrosse Museum at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Baltimore.
