
Downingtown East junior goalie Marya Fratoni has given a verbal commitment to play Division I
lacrosse at the U.S. Naval Academy. Fratoni played mostly at attack last year for the Cougars, but excelled in goal during the
club scene for PAExpress and Club Mongoose in the summer. She also played for the divisional champion Philly 3 team at the
2009 National Tournament and competed for the Philly teams in both the 2008 and 2009 Under Armour Underclassmen Games.

Fratoni, a member of the National Honor Society who has been involved in many service activities, plans to study
Political Science or Oceanography. "I always had that (idea of) being in the military in the back of my mind," said
Fratoni, who also considered Penn,Boston University and Florida. "My dad brought it up to me and it was the first college I
really got interested in. I see it as an honor to serve your country. On top of it I will be getting a great education and I'll
get to play lacrosse for the best coach in the country."

Downingtown East junior midfielder
Kelly Devlin has made a verbal commitment to play
Division I lacrosse at the University of North Carolina. Devlin was a first-team All-Ches-Mont League and
Third-Team All-Phillylacrosse.com pick in 2009 when she helped the Cougars finish 12-8 and reach the second round
of the District 1 tournament.

Devlin recorded 47 goals, 43 assists, and 108 groundballs last year and was a member of the Philly team that placed
third at the Under Armour Underclassmen Games. Devlin also was on the Philly1 team that claimed the title at the US
Lacrosse National Tournament in May.

The PA Express 2011 girls' club team enjoyed a strong 2009 summer season, capping it with a fifth-place finish in
the Club National Championships (for rising juniors) July 17-19 at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds. PA Express,
comprised mostly of players from Chester County, won all four pool play games at the National Championships and

Pa Express 2014 with middle school players from Kennet, Unionville, West Chester, Lionville,
Downingtown and Villa Maria swept the first ever Battle At Princeton for first place in the Middle School
Division. The Express outscored their opponents 48-12 behind strong defense and the goaltending of Abby
Lawson and McKenna Coyle.
